Sign Our Petition
In his programme notes for the game against Rushden, Celtic chairman Andy Firbank calls upon supporters to assist in attempting to reverse the decision of Leeds City Council's planning committee by signing a petition asking for the decision to be reconsidered.
Firbank and fellow director Paul Glover met with Celtic's ward councillor Andrew Carter in the aftermath of the recent decision and agreed that in the first instance a petition be signed showing the true extent of support for the proposed redevelopment. " There were only a handful of objectors to the application", Firbank explains, " although sadly even fewer in support from our own supporters". Within the programme is a petition for fans to take and use and return to the club. Alternatively they may prefer to enter their details online, by visiting www.farsleyceltic1908.co.ukw.farsl
Firbank added "Now is not the time for recriminations or personal attacks but to show the council that the people of Farsley, West Leeds and beyond want improved facilities on our site. The planned facilities will not simply benefit the club but the community at large and will be an asset to all"
