Mark Jackson
Farsley Celtic defender Mark Jackson walked away from the Aggborough Stadium a disappointed man after Celtic were beaten 2-1 by Kidderminster thanks to a last gasp winner. Jackson commented that the defeat shows how important it is to defend for 90+ minutes: “The lads worked their socks today for nearly all of the game. But the second you switch off at this level it can cost you and that’s what happened today. All the lads were chucking their bodies in front of the ball and themselves on the line for the cause but the one lapse has cost us dear.” Jackson played for Kidderminster during the 2005-06 season and he enjoyed his return to the Aggborough, he said: “I enjoyed my return, I only spent a year with Kidderminster but I had some good times. I was club captain and the fans were great along with the club itself. The only reason why I wanted to leave was because I needed to get back up north for family reasons.” Jackson feels if played, the Alfreton game is a big game, he commented: “It’s a massive game, it is good for the lads that we have game in such a short space of time. After the defeat today it is good to get straight back onto the pitch.”
