Torquay at home Wednesday 12 Dec 7.45pm ko
On a bitterly cold December night Steve Torpey made his home debut in sub zero conditions. Care-taker Manager John Deacey went for an attacking 4 3 3 formation playing Lee TucK and Damien Reeves alongside Torpey.
Torquay took the lead after 5 minutes when Phillips shot hit the bar and Zebrowski tapped in the rebound although there were shouts from the crowd that he had controlled the ball with his hand. Whilst Torquay were playing the best quality football Farsley did have chances to equalise but Reeves blasted over from 6 yards and Torpey's header hit the outside of the post.
Early in the second half another goal mouth scramble lead to Steven's scoring Torquay's second. Farsley continued to give a good account of themselves against a team only relegated from the Football league 7 months ago and a Roy Stamer volley brought the Celts back into the game as the Torquay Keeper Rice couldn't stop the ball from entering the bottom left hand corner of the net.
Farsley had 2 late penalty shouts when Ryan Crossley was restrained in the penalty area and when Lee Tuck's cross appeared to be handled
