Celtic Denied All Three Points
A second goal from Forest Green’s Chris Giles four minutes from time denied Celtic a second away win, after a battling performance against the Play Off Contenders.
Giles headed Rovers ahead on the stroke of half time before before Stephen Downes from the penalty spot, and Damien Reeves looked to have secured all three points for the visitors.
Celtic Manager Lee Sinnott was upbeat after the game. "I suppose there are going to be days when you're going to be disappointed with the defending from set pieces, but we could have been demoralised after going behind on the stroke of half-time and we reacted very well. I'm very pleased and very proud of the players and I think we deserved our point."
Celtic take a temporary rest from league action this weekend as they attempt to emulate last season’s FA Cup run, with a home tie against Barrow on Saturday 27th October 2007.
