Crawley Town 4 Farsley Celtic 1

Celtics away game woes continued following this heavy defeat from the West Sussex team. Despite going ahead through James Knowles in the 35th Minute, Crwley leveled within a minute when Ryan Crossley was adjudged to have fouled Magno Viera with Jon-Paul Pittman scoring from the spot.Defender, Mark Jackson, was given a straight red card for a late challenge on Pittman just two minutes later .

Despite a reduction in numbers, Farsley almost re-grabbed the lead two minutes in the second-half with  Ashley Bayes forced to turn away Scott McNiven’s free-kick. After 58 minutes  Vieira controlled a deflected cross on his chest and volleyed past Morgan.

A mistake by Lee Blackburn on 65 almost brought Celtic back into the game. In his first league start of the season the Midfielder misjudged a long ball leaving Gareth Grant through on goal, but Blackburn was let off the hook as the Celtic front man dragged wide.

Vieira punished the miss just two minutes later adding his second of the game. From a corner Jamie Stevens saw his header cannon off the underside of the crossbar, Wilson’s follow up was cleared off the line also, but Vieira turned the ball into the empty net from a couple of yards out.

Thomas Pinault completed a Crawley victory with a thunderous strike in the 94th minute. Substitute, Pierre Joseph-Dubois, cut the ball back to the edge of the area into Pinault’s path and the Frenchman lashed the ball into the top hand corner to wrap up the game.
