Welcome to the Official Farsley Celtic Website

645 spectators braved the pouring rain to watch 10 men Farsley earn a vital point against Altrincham at Throstle Nest.

In the early stages Farsley Celtic were in control, and duely took the lead when Damien Reeves took advantage of a slow Altrincham defence, latching on to Simeon Bambooks knock down, to volley into the back of the net. Goalscorer Damien Reeves was then sent off in the 35th minute, firstly Reeves barged into an Altrincham player and due to the wet surface the Altrincham defender slid into the boarding around the pitch, Reeves then challanged in the air with Lane, and appeared to clash heads with Lane whilst attempting to win the header. To the suprise of many, M.Matadar produced Reeves' seconded yellow card, and sent Farsley down to 10-men.

From this point onwards Altrincham took control, and when an excellant Ryan Serrant cleared off the line after an Altrincham corner was headed goalbound, Altrincham must have been wondering if they were ever going to score. However they did not pull level untill Little smashed home in the 67th minute. Farsley managed to stay in the game, and gained a vital point, due mainly to excellant defending, in particular by Pakistani internation Iqbal and Crossley, and even more so to a once again tremendous Tom Morgan.
