Tom Morgan recovered from his midweek injury to take his place in nets. Up front Lee Tuck again took his place alongside Damian Reeves and Simeon Bambrook.
Farsley had a very strong first half and nearly took the lead 3 minutes before half time when Tuck saw his shot hit the underside of the bar and bounce out.

Oxford came out for the second half much stronger and it took a fantastic save from Morgan to keep the scores level as he pushed a shot on to the angle. But minutes later Oxford did take the lead. Chris Billy miss controlled in the box and the ball fell to Phil Trainer who rifled the ball in to the net. Lee Sinnott sent on Grant, Stamer and McNiven to try and grab an equaliser. Tuck hit a volley which bounced back off the post and then brought out a good save from Oxford keeper Turley. At the other end Morgan had to make two more good saves. With  three minutes remaining Grant went on a run in the box but could not beat Turley.
