Chris Billy made his debut for Celtic following his transfer deadline transfer from Halifax. He started in a 3 man midfield with James Knowles and Simeon Bambrook. Up front most of the early danger was caused by Farsley winger Andy Watson, but the chances kept falling to Bambrook who was firing high or wide. It was Northwich that took the lead. Farsley fell asleep as the visitors were awarded a free kick. Roy Stamer playing left back found himself  with two players to mark and was unable to prevent a cross from which Tait headed home.

In the second half Farsley again had much of the play but did not look loke scoring before manager Lee Sinnott rang the changes. Mark Jackson came on to play in a three man defence releasing Amjad Iqbal into midfield. Tris whitman and Ashley Allanson were also introduced. With only ten minutes remaining Stamer beat three defenders before rattling the bar from 18 yards. Then a short corner to Stamer was crossed low to the front post where Bambrook controlled, turned and fired into the bottom corner. Minutes later farsley were in front when Jackson's free kick was knocked down into the parth of Whitman who shot into the bottom left corner of the net.
