Mark Wilberforce made his Farsley Celtic debut as Paul Cuss was unavailable due to work commitments. Tom Morgan recovered from a broken finger to take a place on the bench. Farsley made a fantastic start as Amjad Iqbal headed in a corner after only 2 minutes. Damian Reeves was also to see his shot into the net ruled offside. Kidderminster started then to dominate the rest of the first half but good defending in front on the back four by Chris Billy and in central defence from Mark Jackson and Ryan Crossley kept the Celts in front.
In the second half Harriers pressure eventually told when Penn received a long throw at the near post and was allowed to turn and lift the ball past Wilberforce. From this moment Farsley played some of their most threatening football with Bambrook having several efforts by keeper Bevan. In injury time the ball fell to substitute Gareth Grant in the penalty area but the forward hesitated and failed to get his shot in. Kidderminster had the last effort to win the game when James Knowles was booked for a foul on the edge of the area. Celtic fans were relieved to see the resulting effort go over the bar.
