Welcome to the Official Farsley Celtic Website
Farsley Celtic 0 - 2 Exeter
1,128 turned up to watch the former football league team play against the Celts. Farsley set off well and had a good 5 minutes spell. Exeter were soon to prove dominant and took the lead after 10 minutes when Adam Stansfield's run was too good for Roy Stamer and Ryan Crossley and he cooly passed the ball into the net past the helpless Mark Wilberforce. Wilberforce was then called into action twice to block good shots.

Manager Lee Sinnott replaced Chris Billy with Ashley Allanson at half time but Exeter continued to have most of the play. Iqbal did however have a good header saved by former Welsh international Andy Marriott in the Exeter net. Exeter nearly went 2-0 up when Mark Jackson lost possession in the left back position and Wilberforce was caught out of position. The cross and shot towards a gaping goal was cleared off the line with a fantastic defencive header by Ryan Crossley. Exeter did go 2-0 up in the 78 minute after Allanson tripped an Exeter forward in the box. Logan sent Wilberforce the wrong way from the spot. Farsley then had their best spell of the game. Colin Heath had a good effort saved by Marriott, then Bambrook had a shot saved by Marriott. Reeves put the rebound in the net but he was ruled offside.
