Craig Bentham: “Great to sign off with a win.”
By James Grayson
Craig Bentham goes back to Bradford City with his head held high after a successful loan spell at Farsley.
Craig has been with the club for three months and has been part of the club’s revival. He made his debut against Histon on the 5 th January.
Craig bowed out in the memorable win over Torquay and he was delighted that he signed off with a win, he said: “It was great to sign off with a win, we played well in the first half and then after the goal, we handled all the pressure.”
The second was all Torquay but Celtic held on for the entire 45 minutes, he commented: “It was all Torquay but I can’t remember them having a shot at Curtis (Aspden). The defending was brilliant though, the back four were unbelievable.”
Craig currently doesn’t have plans for the rest of the season but wants to keep fit for the summer, he said: “Not much for the last month of the season. I am going back to Bradford and I won’t really be involved. I’ll just keep myself fit and see what the summer holds.
Craig scored the first goal in the 3-0 demolition of Woking, this is the favourite moment of his loan spell, he said: “My highlight has to be my goal against Woking. Goals for me are few and far between.”
Craig hasn’t ruled out the possibility of coming back to Throstle Nest but in football anything can happen. I’d like to come back. Everyone has made me feel welcome and the lads have been very positive.”
Craig – well done and good luck for the future
